Infants (Nido 1)
“Let Nature Be Your Teacher” —William Wordsworth

At NVRE, our Infant Education program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, offering a stimulating curriculum designed to enhance children’s emotional, neurological, and social development. We believe that a happy and healthy brain and heart lead to a thriving infant.

Every child is born with deep curiosity and potential, and this innate curiosity drives their desire to understand the world around them and their place within it. Our approach fosters autonomy and social-personal skills while nurturing creativity, allowing infants to learn at their own pace during these critical first years.

Neurological (Brain) Development

In the first few years of life, a child’s brain undergoes rapid growth and development. The initial three years are crucial, as this is when the brain begins to store experiences that will influence lifelong decisions. Our Reggio Emilia-inspired program considers each infant’s unique neurological state, providing the support needed for healthy brain development.

Language Development

Language is a key component of social development, encompassing both vocal and body language. At NVRE, infants learn to express themselves in a nurturing environment, interacting with peers and caregivers to build essential communication skills.

Intellectual (Thinking and Decision Making) Development

Intellectual skills are vital for an infant’s growth, helping them learn faster and become effective decision-makers. Our program focuses on developing memory, concentration, and critical thinking

Physical (Structural) Development

Physical development, including motor skills like sitting, standing, walking, and jumping, is integral to a child’s early years. NVRE tailors physical activities to each child’s age and developmental level, ensuring they build the strength and coordination necessary for healthy growth.

Social and Emotional Development

Social and emotional development is crucial for a child’s overall well-being. NVRE emphasizes the importance of forming positive relationships, helping infants develop healthy connections with their peers and caregivers in a safe and nurturing environment.

Cognitive development in infants is most active during the first two years of life, a period when brain cells form critical connections with other organs through synapses. This phase is also when sensory information is processed through motor experiences, and emotional bonds begin to form.

Our Reggio Emilia program at NVRE is dedicated to supporting the all-round development of infants within a Spanish immersion environment. We believe that the first years of life lay the foundation for a child’s future success, and our program is designed to give each child the best possible start.
